Janice McAdams
Minister Janice Y. McAdams was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, to a family who had faith in God and believed in attending church. Her favorite scripture is 1John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” At the age of 11, her pastor passed away and his death caused the church to split. After the split, she attended varies church, but never felt rooted or that she belonged, so she stopped attending church.
Several years, a husband and two (2) children later, her mother asked her to check out the church that her brother was diligently serving to make sure it was not a cult. Who would have known that in June of 1996 that the Love of God that was shown to her would change her life forever. Less than a year later, she was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with his precious spirit realizing the purpose of her gift.
In 2000 she graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor degree in accounting. In 2005, she completed Joseph’s Business School, where God showed her that she I would have a dual ministry as a King and Priest. In 2008, she completed ministry training at Living Word Christian Center. In 2014, she continued her theological education at Midwest Bible College and received her Teaching Certificate and Ministers License. In 2018, she was ordained at the National Convocation of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith International.
I am the founder of Talitha Cumi G.O.D. (Girls of Destiny) girls’ mentorship. It was inspired by God and designed to empower girls with the word of God. The name is taken from the scripture Mark 5:41 “And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha Cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.”
Her purpose is to encourage them to ARISE and become who God has designed and predestined them to be.
